Update Your Mentoring Skills with the New ICF Core Competencies

This course is designed for mentor coaches who would like to work with a small group of coaching colleagues to freshen their mentoring skills using the updated ICF Core Competencies.


Join us and a small cohort of mentoring colleagues as we briefly review the new competencies as well as giving participants opportunities to tune up their mentoring skills through mentoring practicum. Freshen up your skills with coaching colleagues in a fun and safe learning environment led by Sheri and Jamee.

Requirements to enroll: This class is for people who have at least 300 coaching hours of experience plus hold an ICF credential and have either graduated from the Mentor Coach Certification Course offered by Sheri Boone, MCC and Jamee Tenzer, PCC or have at least 25 hours of mentoring experience.

Sheri Boone, MCC, BCC

Sheri is a Master Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, a trainer, mentor and supervisor. She is a co-author of Pause: 52 Ways to Shift Any Outcome in Less Than a Minute, a book and card deck of practical mindfulness practices for leaders, and the co-creator of the Deeper Conversations Coaching Program and Mentor Coach Certification.

Coaching for 20+ years, she served for 6 years as the Director of Training and Supervised Coach for the International Coach Academy and currently serves as Director of Education for the Center for Executive Coaching. In her private practice, as the owner of MCC Mentor Coach, she has successfully mentored many coaches to their MCC credential. Sheri’s passion is guiding and mentoring coaches through certification and credentialing. Sheri holds a B.A. in Social Science/Psychology from Marylhurst University. She received her MCC credential from the International Coaching Federation in 2004 and her Board Certified Coach certificate in 2011. Sheri is a Master Certified Inspired Learning Facilitator, and a Certified Coach Supervisor.

Jamee Tenzer, MCC, BCC

Jamee Tenzer is a Master Certified Coach, Trainer and Mentor. She has been privileged to work internationally for 18+ years as a mentor and trainer and to coach executives and managers in many industries including; entertainment, non-profit and technology.

In addition to serving on the faculty of International Coach Academy from 2006 to 2015, she also co-developed and continues to serve as a trainer for 4 ICF Accredited training courses for coaches; Deeper Conversations, Real Coaching Sessions Unplugged, Mentor Coach Certification and Mentor Coach Tune Up. These programs support coaches in gaining a deeper understanding of the ICF Core Competencies. In 2005, Jamee earned a certificate as a mediator through the Center for Dispute Resolution and collaborated with Mediation Partners to develop and deliver a pilot peer mediation program for middle school students at risk in Los Angeles. Jamee is a member of the International Coaching Federation, Producers Guild of America and Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She holds a CPC certification from the International Coach Academy, an MCC from the International Coaching Federation and a BCC from the Center for Credentialing and Education.
